Wednesday, April 8th, 2015

Augmented reality is moving fast into tourism. UNWTO Ulysses awarded “Arromanches 1944” is a good example. It is mobile application for iPad which enables visitor at the French Channel coast to discover developments and events during the Second World War. The facility is a stepping stone towards enriching tourism experiences and educational resources.

The content has been created in collaboration between museums, researchers and others, and the technical concept is invented by Biplan.
