Hotel with a good mission

Good Hotel is floating in the habour of Amsterdam. It is not only a place for accommodation, but also a concept that addresses some of the very serious problems in the world. The hotel is committed to the development and education of less advantaged communities.

The Good Hotel Amsterdam will act one year as a pop-up hotel in Amsterdam, The Netherlands before it will be shipped in 2016 to a permanent location in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2016, the Good Hotel Amsterdam will be shipped (onto another ship) to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During the 2016 Olympics, the hotel will be located in the famous Rio bay & will move to its permanent location in the beautiful Niterói bay, offering stunning Rio views, soon after.
During the process the hotel will work on the development of recreational projects for children living in Rio’s favelas, along with the custom-made hospitality training we will be offering to locals in the hotel.
While in Amsterdam, The Good Hotel literarily does good by investing in unemployed ‘Amsterdammers’ and giving them a custom-made hospitality training. The entire process offers participants a real opportunity to find a permanent job in the growing hotel market in Amsterdam.
On its website, the hotel states: “We want to set an example for other businesses in our destinations. Change generations. Change lives. Change how business is done.”
