Brain writing is an easy and quick way to generate ideas. Collect a group of people and have them write their suggestions on their own sheet of paper. After some time (length depending on the nature of the problem), rotate the sheets around the table. Each group member will build upon and comment on the ideas of the others. Continue until everyone has written on everyone else’s sheet. Collect the sheets and consolidate the ideas.
Brain writing can be useful in many situations, for example, when organizing an event where it is necessary to find solutions to hundreds of small, but important, tasks.
